    SAUDI ARABIA SETS THE NEW GUINNESS WORLD OF RECORDS FOR THE LARGEST FLOWER CARPET IN THE WORLD

     

    On the 24th of February 2014, during the opening of the 8th Flowers & Gardens Festival in Yanbu Al Sinaiyah Saudi Arabia Royal Commission for Yanbu Project, Mr. Pravim Patel of Guinness World Records announced the new world record of the largest flower carpet in the world measuring 10,702.96 m2 planted with different varieties of 1,200,000 pieces marigold & petunias. Each plant bloom of around 10-12 flowers that reach the quantity of more than 15 millions full bloom flowers of different color & arrayed magnificently in a slope area. This event was organized by Landscaping & Irrigation Department Director Engr. Saleh Al Zahrani in support of His Excellency Dr. Alaa Abdullah Nassif the Executive President of Royal Commission Yanbu. Sadeem Agriculture Company is the contractors of Royal Commission in charge to implement the planting of this magnificent flower carpet.
