This iReport is part of an assignment:
Home heating fears |
Tight Times
We have three children so our first cut back is on the dining out and movies. Right now my husband and I are sharing one vehicle that is paid in full to cut down on all associated costs of another car such as gas, insurance, and maintenance. Our priorities are dicussed nightly to make sure we are on the same page as to where our money is going. I stay at home with the kids so it is easy for me not to spend since I don't have a car and we don't live close enough to walk to any place. The winter can be tight though with 400-500 going to the heating bill if I had known what it cost to heat our house I would have had second thoughts on buying it. We already have winter window treatments on the ready. All the kids have layers such as pull overs and I am buying an electric blanket for the couch. This is what we did last year. This is our second winter in our house.
