Great East Japan Earthquake Press Photo Exhibition

Do we remember the Japan earthquake on March 11, 2011?

A Press Photo Exhibition of the Great East Japan Earthquake opens today in Vanderbilt Hall, Grand Central Terminal.

The goal of the exhibit is to gain a deeper sense of appreciation for what happened and what has become of the devastated regions. It also presents another opportunity for Japan to thank the people of the United States for their continued support.

Seeing these photos of devastation, grief and hope is not only a way of remembering Japan’s tragic history, but it is a reminder to all of us that a worst devastation can happen anytime.

The exhibition is free admission and open until March 3.
