Honoring Exceptional Individuals Foundation (HEIFoundation) Pioneering the Self-Nomination Approach for Awarding Honorary Degrees
Honoring Exceptional Individuals Foundation (HEIFoundation) took the responsibility to recognize and honor these valuable contributions and has successfully done so for more than 25 years now, through its Honorary Degree Awards.
As a part of the Silver Jubilee Celebration HEIFoundation took this initiative a step further and introduced the ‘self-nomination’ procedure for these Honorary Degrees. The process of the degree awards remains the same as earlier. The self/nominated candidate is evaluated for the contributions made in his/her respective field of profession or expertise. Next, the qualifying candidate is recommended to various professional universities through the HEIFoundation platform. The candidate is then contacted by these institutions and awarded an honorary degree by the university of candidate’s choice.
One significant change in the process is the self nomination provision that will allow contributors to apply for Honorary Degree on their own rather than waiting for others (people or institutions) to come across their contributions and nominate them for their concern for the society. This basically serves as a self-facilitation process in which one will bring his/her contributions to the surface and allow others to know and get inspired to walk the same path, ultimately meeting the goal of optimal contribution.
HEI Foundation has always believed in delivering with class, yet simplicity accompanied with the deep-rooted principles of impartiality and transparency. More than 15000 such outstanding contributors have been awarded with this rare symbol of appreciation, making inspiring stories for us all to look up to.
