Little Havana Continues to Support Venezuelans

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     College student Jgflores35 photographed people demonstrating in support of Venezuela's protests in the neighborhood of Little Havana in Miami, Florida, on February 28. 'The people were demanding an over throw of the Venezuelan government and to stop the violence and killings of the Venezuelans fighting for their freedoms and right to democracy,' he said. He estimates that more than 100 people lined the street during the protesting. 'These protests usually aren't organized by anyone, they just naturally come together. People see it and just join,' he said.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

Car beeps are heard in the far distance and chants are echoed through the streets. A large group of Venezuelan revolution supporters gathered at Versailles in Little Havana. This area is known to attract protests and large groups when it comes to sports and politics, especially those of the Cuban community. You can sense the unity within the different latin countries in order to achieve the common goal of change, for freedom and democracy. Usually these political assemblies and protests are just a fad and dissolve quickly but this shows that the support is real and pure. It's history in the making and Little Havana and its people are making sure they're part of it.
