South Carolina State Representative Clyburn by Proclamation will honor Mary Snelling and Ron Albertelli for 15 years of devotion to the University of South Carolina by providing the Mascot Sir Big Spur, The  OLD ENGLISH BLACK BREASTED-RED GAMECOCK,  who resides in Aiken County.   State Representative Clyburn stated that "He is proud to honor Mary and Ron, who at their own expense transport Sir Big Spur to Gamecock sporting events all over the United States in support of our teams.  I felt proud to know they live in Aiken and felt it was time they are recognized in this formal way." Sports Illustrated recognized Sir Big Spur as One of the Top Live Mascots in College Football.
