    $51 Billion to fund an Army?

     
    Would it be implausible to say that the Olympics did not cost $51 billion dollars and that the moneys not spent on the Olympics helped fund the military? Would it seem like a conspiracy theory?

    During the opening ceremony of the Olympics the Russian pride was self evident, as it should be. The display of the Russian military might was also

    The Ukrainian President President Viktor Yanukovych suspends trade agreement with the EU after a year of talks. It was well known Russia was in opposition to this. Sanctions against the Ukraine and large gas bills may have prompted this cessation of talks on signing the agreement. The Ukrainian people were angered and protested.

    There is room for Russia to have a lot of foresight into this situation and plan this military mobilization. Major funding and a few political moves to set the stage.
