    Stranded in Arkansas

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - "Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe called in the National Guard Tuesday morning to help with state roads."

My question is, why is this having to be done in the first place. Main highways are still completely covered in ice. It is understandable that the county roads have not been touched and are complete ice, because they are always the last to be touched. However it is not understandable and it is almost ridiculous that main Highways are still just about as ice covered as late Monday morning. I-55 and I-40 in Arkansas are covered and traffic has been backed up for hours in some places. Arkansas is very sub par in getting these roads cleaned compared to our border states like Missouri and Tennessee. I think that it is time for Arkansas to take a look into why this keeps happening. I in no way, fault the workers of the Highway Department, they have been at work since this winter storm hit.
