High Blood Pressure and the Affordable Care Act

So today I go to the dentist. Note that I have PTSD and I do have triggers. I go to the dentist and I hit a trigger some where but I do not know what it was? Anyways I sit in the dentists chair and they take my blood pressure. It was something like 176/92 or something. I have always had a pretty stable blood pressure but did not realize my blood pressure was skyrocketing.

So I get home and immediately call my doctor. Now note that with my insurance I had 3 medications that I was doing very well on and since my insurance switched because of the ACA I had to get Pre-Authorizations for these. Thats cool. I never get the pre-authorizations because the doctor is so busy with doing other paper work because of the ACA. Ok so I keep calling and calling after 2 months they get approved. Cool.

I call him today with my blood pressure because I did not know what else to do? They said he would call me back like the other 20 times they did. I have waited all day and I am sure he is busy with more paper work about a spranged ankle and my heart is about to explode out of my chest? Yeah I have never been one to like this ACA. But now I know forcing people to do something that they may not need is going to cost people who may have serious conditions??? I'm all for pre existing conditions but the doctor said he has to do exams on all his patients young or old once a year now and he is seeing healthy people that would never come in.

Patients are being forced to do stuff they do not want to and patients with serious conditions are truly suffering its bullshit. Now instead of doing a pre authorization and its done they have to do it yearly reapply for the preauthorization. Unbelievable.
