UKRAINE CRISIS: Israel's Hands Are Tied!

Israel urged to send forces to guard Ukrainian Jews

FRIENDS OF ISRAEL (foi.org) reported that the head of a prominent European Jewish group requested that the Israeli government urgently send security personnel to Ukraine in order to protect the Jewish communities there, which have been targeted during the political unrest gripping the country. In a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon, the head of the European Jewish Association (EJA), Rabbi Menahem Margolin, urgently requested that Israel “send trained security guards to protect Jewish communities in Ukrainian cities and towns.”

Ukrainian Jewish communities throughout the country are seriously concerned and feel helpless in the face of agrowing wave of anti-Semitic attacks.”

The letter stated, citing the recent examples of a Molotov cocktail thrown at a Chabad center in the eastern city of Zaporozhye, a threatening phone message left for a rabbi in Kryvyi Rih calling him to leave the city, and anti-Semitic graffiti found in Kiev and other locations.

The reports indicate a “Jewish emergency,” according to the letter sent by the Brussels-based EJA head.

Ironically Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu was silent about the Ukraine Crisis during his meeting on Monday, March 3, 2014 at the White House with President Obama.

According to the Stratfor Intelligence Report, "Ukraine and the 'Little Cold War,' "Europe is hungry for energy." Russia, constructing pipelines to feed natural gas to Europe, takes care of Europe's energy needs and its own economic problems, and puts Europe in a position of dependency on Russia. In an energy-hungry world, Russia's energy exports are like heroin. It addicts countries once they start using it. Russia has already used its natural gas resources to force neighboring countries to bend to its will. That power reaches into the heart of Europe, where the Germans and the former Soviet satellites of Eastern Europe all depend on Russian natural gas. Add to this its other resources, and Russia can apply significant pressure on Europe."

The Stratfor report goes on to explain that; "Dependency can be a double-edged sword. A militarily weak Russia cannot pressure its neighbors, because its neighbors might decide to make a grab for its wealth." Stratfor compiled their recent report from George Friedman's 2009 book, The Next 100 Years, and ran the abstract because the forecast -- written in 2008 -- is prescient in its anticipation of events unfolding recently in Russia, Ukraine and Crimea.

"Israel has no dog in this fight, and will try as best it can to stay out of it," according to the Turkish Weekly (TW), Monday, March 3, 2014 article titled, "How the Ukrainian crisis impacts the Middle East."

"Obviously it does not want to do or say anything that would antagonize the US, its greatest ally. But, likewise, it has no interest in doing or saying anything that would rile or alienate Russian President Vladimir Putin."

The United States has agreed that when it comes to Israeli-Palestinian diplomacy, it is good to have Moscow “inside the tent” feeling a part of the process. That was part of the logic in including Russia as part of the Quartet on the Middle East – along with the US, European Union and United Nations – in Middle East peacemaking.

The Vatican / UN made Tony Blair Faith Foundation chairman and former UK PM Tony Blair, lives in Jerusalem as the Special Envoy of Quartet on the Middle East (where the UN headquarters of the Quartet on the Middle East is located).

The Vatican wants to make Jerusalem an international city controlled by the Papacy and the Russian Federation, Russian Christian Orthodox Church and Jews around the world are standing in their way. Therefore, if the Vatican and its ecumenical East and West Conference of European Churches, and interim  "Christian Crusader" and Ukraine President Turchynov marginalize the Russian Orthodox Christian Church and Jews, they are one step closer to controlling Jerusalem and the world!

Corpus Separatum (Latin for "separated body") is a term used to describe the Jerusalem area in the 1947 United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine (State of Israel). According to the plan the city would be placed under International Regime (Not belonging to Israel or Arab Palestinians), conferring it a "Special Status" due to its shared religious importance.

The Holy See expressed support for the status of Corpus Separatum. Pope Pius XII was the among the first to make such a proposal in the 1949 encyclical Redemptoris Nostri Cruciatus. This idea was later re-proposed during the papacies of John XXIII, Paul VI and John Paul II.

The most recent bilateral agreement between the Vatican and Islamic Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) was signed on February 15, 2000. On November 29, 2012, the Vatican hailed the United Nations' implicit recognition of a Palestinian state and called for an internationally guaranteed special status for Jerusalem, that infuriated Israel.

The 193-nation U.N. General Assembly overwhelmingly approved a resolution to upgrade the Palestinian Authority's observer status at the United Nations from "entity" to "non-member state," the same status as the Vatican.

"The Holy See welcomes with favor the decision of the General Assembly by which Palestine has become a Non-member Observer State of the United Nations," a Vatican statement said.

But the Vatican also said it was a "propitious occasion" to recall a "common position" on Jerusalem expressed by the Vatican and the Palestine Liberation Organization, when the two sides signed their bilateral relations in 2000. This attack against the Russian Orthodox Christian Church is similar to the Vatican takeover of the British and Anglican Church...The Holy See instigated the Irish War of Independence for years until the British were politically defeated!

If Russia wants to hit back at the US, Vatican and UN for supporting the Ukraine revolution and its new interim government, one place it could do so would be on the Israeli-Palestinian process to establishing a dual State in Jerusalem. The Palestinians could also use increased US-Russian rivalry to stiffen their own positions.

The Russian Orthodox Christian Church withdrew from the East and West Conference of European Churches...

Founded in 1959, the Conference of European Churches (Kek) gathers 120 Orthodox, Protestant, Anglican and Old Catholic Churches from all over Europe. It has offices in Geneva, Brussels and Strasbourg and works in close cooperation with the Roman Catholic Church.

When Ukrainian nationalists and far-right groups began protesting against Viktor Yanukovych’s government on Kiev’s Maidan Square, many Western and Russian media outlets called the demonstrations fascist with anti-Semitic undertones.

There are diplomatic ways to ensure the balance of power in the Crimea without taking away the businesses, right to own property, religious rights and Traditions of Russian Jews---and forcing them out of Ukraine.

Given the ecumenical movement and the Vatican / United Nations' TONY BLAIR FAITH FOUNDATION and FAITH AND GLOBALIZATION INITIATIVE (as well as the syncretism of Christian denominations), global citizens should be concerned about new "Christian Crusades" against Jews and other ethnic groups by despots.
