Who Are The People In Your Neighbourhood?

    The Red Ridges VII

Who are the people in your neighbourhood?
Are they friends of God and the faithful?
Are they able to say goodmorning everyday?
Are they kind of heart and loving in the mind?

Who are the people in your neighbourhood?
Do they know the virtues of charity and purity?
Do they know heavenly ways of living together?
Do they share love and interests of the community?

Oh! How are the people in your neighbourhood?
Are they living healthy and above poverty lines?
Are they happy with the circumstance they live in?
Are they proud of their neighbourhood and its dignity?

Again, how are the people in your neighbourhood?
Have they partaken of the daily bread of angels?
Have they recycled the boxing day parcels for good?
Have they prayed for their children to get better and wiser?

In domestic manifestations like the purple gardens
In knowledge frontiers like the medical records of hope
In leadership prospects like the Colleges of distinction
So tell us, who are the people in your neighbourhood?

    The Red Ridges VI

Now that you know the score of the music
The harmony will sound like coconut and beans
The rarefaction will trace the lines of commitment
And pay the bills of the therapies and counsels

Like the comfort giver that never sleeps on duty
Like the prayer warrior that hardly begs for returns
Like the untiring driver that never hitches a ride
Like the hardworking father that sees the nineties

Like the third eye behind the camera and mirror
Like the sixth sense and the wise nut cracker
Like the kind neighbourhood chips white and pink
Like the wide market square bound in green leaves

Remember the true words swallowed for good
But was spoken through the language of music
But was written for the eyes of next generation
For the red ridges to be beaten dock and bailey

Listen to the teacher inside the inks of fame
Who wrestles angles of elevation into the angels
Of the next niche where the complexes reside
Of the red ridges monitored to duck and parley
