    LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT CONDUCTS 1ST LAGOS H.O.M.S DRAW

     
    The Lagos State Government has successfully conducted its first Lagos Home Ownership Mortgage Scheme (LAGOS H.O.M.S) draw with over 322 individuals applying for the scheme, while 98 people were qualified for the draw after passing the requirements. The Ceremony was held at Blue Roof, Ikeja, Lagos.

    The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola SAN, while addressing an elated audience noted that “We are moving our people from desperation of housing to an ordinary and peaceful life”.

    The Governor further stressed that The Lagos H.O.M.S. is a Government initiative to encourage and support home ownership of first time buyer residents of Lagos State to purchase decent and affordable homes through the provision of accessible mortgage finance, with an initial payment of 30% of the valued cost.

    Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Comrade Ayodele Adewale while speaking with journalists expressed gratitude to Governor Fashola for his tremendous support in housing delivery, describing him as an agent of progressive change to transform and develop Lagos.
    In his words, “His insistence on good quality infrastructure makes him stands out.”

    It is instructive to state that 200 homes would be allocated monthly through a public draw.
