The Real Power Behind the Ukraine Crisis

The Vatican wants to make Jerusalem an international city controlled by the Papacy and the Russian Federation, Russian Christian Orthodox Church and Jews around the world are standing in their way.

Therefore, if the Vatican and its ecumenical East and West Conference of European Churches, and interim "Christian Crusader" and Ukraine President Turchynov marginalize the Russian Orthodox Christian Church and Jews, they are one step closer to controlling Jerusalem and the world!

NOTE: Byzantium remained the capital of the Byzantine Empire until 1453 AD, when it was conquered by the Muslims and became the capital of the Ottoman Empire. Since the establishment of modern Turkey in 1923, the Turkish name of the city, Istanbul, has replaced the name Constantinople in the West. As a result, the Muslims were allowed to occupy Turkey, and the Catholics were allowed to occupy Lebanon in the Arab world. It was also agreed that the Muslims could build mosques in Catholic countries without interference as long as Roman Catholicism could flourish in Arab countries. A light control was kept on Muslims from the Ayatollah down through the Islamic priests, nuns and monks. The Vatican also engineered a campaign of hatred between the Muslim Arabs and the Jews. Before this, Jews and Muslims had co-existed peacefully in the Middle East. The bilateral agreements between the Vatican and the religion of Islam go as far back as AD 629.

Corpus Separatum (Latin for "separated body") is a term used to describe the Jerusalem area in the 1947 United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine (State of Israel). According to the plan Jerusalem would be placed under International Regime (Not belonging to Israel or Arab Palestinians), conferring it a "Special Status" due to its shared religious importance.

The Holy See expressed support for the status of Corpus Separatum. Pope Pius XII was the among the first to make such a proposal in the 1949 encyclical Redemptoris Nostri Cruciatus. This idea was later re-proposed during the papacies of John XXIII, Paul VI and John Paul II.

The most recent bilateral agreement between the Vatican and Islamic Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) was signed on February 15, 2000.

"Vatican hails U.N. Palestine vote, wants guarantees for Jerusalem" — REUTERS, By Philip Pullella, Vatican City, Thursday November 29, 2012 7:18pm EST

"The Holy See welcomes with favor the decision of the General Assembly by which Palestine has become a Non-member Observer State of the United Nations," a Vatican statement said.

But the Vatican also said it was a "propitious occasion" to recall a "common position" on Jerusalem expressed by the Vatican and the Palestine Liberation Organisation, when the two sides signed their bilateral relations in 2000.

The Russian Orthodox Christian Church withdrew from the East and West Conference of European Churches.

Founded in 1959, the Conference of European Churches (Kek) gathers 120 Orthodox, Protestant, Anglican and Old Catholic Churches from all over Europe. It has offices in Geneva, Brussels and Strasbourg and works in close cooperation with the Roman Catholic Church.

The European Union added a significant financial underpinning to the struggling Ukraine government on Wednesday offering aid worth as much as $15 billion over the next two years.

The offer comes on top of the $1 billion in American loan guarantees to ease Ukraine’s economic transition, announced on Tuesday by Secretary of State John Kerry during a visit aimed at reassuring the interim Ukraine authorities and challenging Russia.

On November 19, 2009, Herman Van Rompuy was selected by the members of the European Council as the first full-time President of the European Council under the Treaty of Lisbon. This is a position appointed by the European Council, and therefore not chosen through direct election by the citizens of Europe.

On 1 March 2012 Herman Van Rompuy was re-elected by the heads of state or government of the 28 European Union member states. His second term is set to last to November 30, 2014.

Herman Van Rompuy was the 49th Prime Minister of Belgium prior to his new EU position. Van Rompuy was born in Brussels in 1947 and later studied at the Jesuits' Sint-Jan Berchmans College in Central Brussels. Herman Van Rompuy was also educated in philosophy and economics at the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium.

When Ukrainian nationalists and far-right groups began protesting against Viktor Yanukovych’s government on Kiev’s Maidan Square, many Western and Russian media outlets called the demonstrations fascist with anti-Semitic undertones.

This attack against the Russian Orthodox Christian Church is similar to the Vatican takeover of the British and Anglican Church by the Holy See instigating the Irish War of Independence!

If Russia wants to hit back at the US, Vatican and UN for supporting the Ukraine revolution and its new interim government, one place it could do so would be on the Israeli-Palestinian process to establishing a dual State in Jerusalem. The Palestinians could also use increased US-Russian rivalry to stiffen their own positions.

The Knights of Malta (Jesuits) are the Vatican's diplomatic arm and hold permanent ambassador status in the European Union and permanent observer status in the United Nations. The Vatican is a Sovereign Regime under international law, established in 1929 with the Lateran Accords.
