Craigslist and eBay promote Prostitution throughout U.S.

If you thought HBO belongs in the Doghouse for their Cathouse show, where should we put Craigslist and eBay ? New York-HBO's offensive reality series 'Cathouse' is in the doghouse. 'The Coalition Against Trafficking in Women (CATW)', and the U.S Department of State's Ambassador for the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, Mark Lagon, picketed outside HBO Headquarters on 42nd Street on Tuesday. They sent a clear message to HBO that the so-called reality show about a brothel in Nevada distorts the reality of the harm of prostitution and sexual exploitation, and plays a key role in the cultural mainstreaming of prostitution. Well, Mr. Lago, and the womens groups I got a bigger bone for you to pick and its with Craigslist and Ebay (big shareholder of Craigslist) who are actively promoting prostitution under the erotic section of Craigslist. At least Cathouse is based on a brothel in Nevada where its legal. http://newyork.craigslist.org/search/ers/?query=w4m Here you can find tens of thousands of prostitutes, some professional some not, offering various services. They range from massages with "happy endings", "blowjobs" straight sex, greek sex, man to man sex. Whatever you desire they are offering it explicitly at a price. All courtesy of Craigslist and eBay. Why would a company help prostitutes and their clients violate U.S. Laws so blatantly ? You also need to ask yourself why, after our Governor Spitzer was part of a sting, the Government doesn't just log on to Craigslist, bust everyone and then shut down Craigslist for abetting criminal activity. That would certainly get them some good press for stopping prostitution. Share your comments and tell me what you think.
