    Minister of Higher Education to check on conditions of Jordanian students in Ukraine

     

    Jordanian Higher education minister personally to check on Jordanian students in Ukraine H.E Amin Mahmoud.


    The Ambassador of the Republic of Ukraine to the Kingdom, Serhiy Pasko, on Wednesday highlighted the importance of the upcoming visit of Jordan's Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Amin Mahmoud to Ukraine.

     

    In a statement , the ambassador said the minister's visit aims at checking on conditions of about the 5,400 Jordanian students studying there.

     

    During his visit, the minister will meet with a number of Ukrainian officials, the ambassador said.

     

    Pasko, who will accompany the minster during his visit, said that the situation in Ukraine has started to become stable, and emphasized that no Jordanian student was hurt in the recent events.

     

    "Instructions were issued to students to avoid areas that witnessed tension and clashes in the Republic recently, he said.

     

    The ambassador commended Jordan's stance in the UN Security Council on the issue of the Ukrainian crisis.

     

    He revealed that the Ukrainian relations with Jordan will witness a new leap in the near future to further upgrade economic cooperation between them.

     

    He said that Ukraine has recommended Ukrainian businessman Sergei Yskovski as Jordan's honorary consul to the Ukraine, especially since Yskovski enjoyed economic cooperation ties with the Kingdom.
