The Russian Economy Is A Disaster Waiting To Happen
We'd like to explain that the system that is called the Russian economy works throug half-military, half-oligarchic gangs and mainly based on natural resources. There is no innovation, any innovation is even suspect. Rules and sums have already been split among the members.
The whole country is being sucked dry by a small group of this ruling class. In order to put their stolen money in a safe place, they storm Western banks to open accounts there. The political leaders that are part of this system do not trust the West, or Western currency. But whenever they feel like it, they depend on the strength of Western currency.
They sell their oil and gas in the West, get all of their money from the West. THEY ARE COMPLETELY DEPENDENT ON THE WEST, but they hate it.
One of the strongest sources of income of these clans are oil and gas. They don't actually work in these industries, but they just control it. They share their revenue with the political leaders and buy Western football clubs, journalists, businessmen and who- or whatever else they like.
Why is this economy so vulnerable to simple negative reports? Because it is not really an economy, there is no real business going on. It's a game with money and natural resources played by mafia rules. If anything happens to the boss, the whole system collapses like a house of cards.
