    Filipino Fashion Designer, Fund Raises to Help Hurricane Victims Back Home

     
    On December 7, 2013, Miss Philippines USA and Black Door Global had put together a very elegant fashion show to fundraise for the victims of typhoon Haiyan. The show was held at the Chateaux Chanel, in Posh Los Feliz community in Hollywood. The fundraiser showcased three designers-Tamta, Claire’s Collection and the very talented Lou Razon
    Lou Razon, a very prestigious couture fashion designer created Miss Philippines USA to discover women who would represent the Fil-Am community. Other than being a designer who loves to make women feel sophisticated and elegant through her unique design and creations, Lou has always been determined to give back to her community through fund raising.
    Lou Razon started her first couture business in 1997. In 2000, Lou debuted her first fashion show in Reflections Fashion and Awards Show. The following year she opened her design studio in Glendale where she grew to be the established designer she is today. She continues to produce her very own fashion shows to showcase her vibrant and detail oriented collections. She produced Seasons of Lou Razon and Faces of Lifestyles. Her designs have caught the attention and well deserved praises of Paul McCartney, Katherine Narducci, Brooke Lee, Ruffa Gutierrez, Cher Calvin and Rachel Grant. In fact, Lou Razon is the very first Filipino designer to walk the Oscars’ red carpet.
    Lou grew up inspired by Filipino designers and is more than grateful that she is acknowledged as a talented and unique designer in her Filipino community. To show her gratitude, Lou has always put her community first. Which is why she has been inspired to give back to those who have been severely affected by the recent typhoon.
    The event was also sponsored and supported by My Rockin Party, Chafeh Graphics, So Cal Fusion catering, Hula Girl, DJ Wilson, Careline Hospise, IamSor, Dare U to Care Foundation and The Samira Show.
    Not only has Lou Razon deserved the endless praise and admiration for her one of a kind designs, but she has also earned various awards. Aside from being awarded the most important Filipino designer from ABC 7 in 2002, she received awards from SIPA (Search to Involve Pilipino Americans), Celebrity Chronicle and Virgo Awards.
    Other than sponsoring this recent charity event to help victims of Haiyan, Lou Razon has produced several other fashion events benefiting charities like Bantay Bata, BKP California, Dare U to Care, Walk with Sally, Greenfund Project and American Cancer Society.
