Authorities promised to Meet Demands of Families of Dervish prisoners; Wife of Jailed Lawyer was unconscious During Protest Gathering
Security officials have promised the families of Dervish prisoners and others who were present in front of Tehran Prosecutor's office, that their demands will be met until tomorrow at 9 am. The families of Dervish prisoners along with detained Dervishes at police station No. 113 have responded that, if the authorities fail to fulfill their promise, they will gather again outside Tehran's Prosecutors office tomorrow.
Since early morning the regime's anti-riot forces and plainclothes agents sealed off all streets leading to Tehran's Prosecutors Office to prevent the protests by members of families of political prisoners and Dervishes.
According to reports by Majzooban Noor, Maryam Shirini, the wife of imprisoned Dervish lawyer Amir Eslami due to her hunger strike had a seizure and was unconscious in protest gathering today. She was taken to to medical center by ambulance. Maryam Shirini has begun her hunger strike in support of her jailed husband since 5 days ago but because of weakness caused by hunger was unconscious.
Dervishes's lawyer, Amir Eslami who is suffering from heart problems and migraine is being held in ward 350 of Evin prison for his faith for nearly 2 years.
Large groups of repressive force in police buses have been stationed outside 15-Khordad metro station.
Also at police checkpoints in areas around Tehran the repressive forces arrested those planning to attend the gathering protest or prevented them from entering Tehran.
The number of those arrested is about 500, however, more than 200 have been arrested until 12:30 local time.
Since March 1 ten Dervish prisoners in Evin, Rajai-Shahr, Shiraz's Nezam and Bandar-abbas prisons have held a hunger strike to protest pressures and degrading and repressive measures and denial access the medical treatment.
Three prisoners in Ward 350 of Evin prion were suddenly exiled to Rajai-Shahr prison.
Health of three of hunger strikers,Hamid-Reza Moradi, Mostafa Daneshjou and Afshin Karampour who have been ill is worrisome.
Dervishes on hunger strike have demanded medical treatment for the ill prisoners and the return of three exiled prisoners.
More than 3,000 Dervishes across Iran have declared their solidarity with the prisoners demands.
