FOB Shindand, Afghanistan
This iReport is part of an assignment:
Salute to troops
Military "Goes Bald for Brayden"
Military member from all over the world are lining up to "Go Bald for Brayden". Brayden Mitchell, a 5 yo from Ohio was recently diagnosed with stage-3 Wilms Tumor, kidney cancer. Brayden's father Dave Mitchell perished in a F-16 training accident in 2008, shortly before the birth of his son, Brayden.
"Go Bald for Brayden" is about supporting Brayden, his family and honoring the memory of his father.
Bases to include Shindand AB, Afghanistan, Minot AFB, McChord AFB, Luke AFB and Eglin AFB as well as NATO partners from Hungary and El Salvador have "Gone Bald for Brayden"! Similar events are planned this month for Kabul, Afghanistan and Peterson AFB.
The support for Brayden has been amazing but I think we can do better--calling on all servicemen to "Go Bald for Brayden"!!
