    Anti-Nuclear Protests In Tokyo

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     ElBranden is a photojournalist in Japan who photographed protesters demonstrating on Anti-Nuclear Day in Tokyo on March 9. He says the protesters were determined and unwavering in their demands, which were to end the use of nuclear power. 'They were demanding that all nuclear power plants be shut-down permanently in Japan, in light of the ongoing Fukushima disaster,' he said. 'People were also rallying for alternative forms of energy, such as solar and wind power. He says thousands of people turned out for the protesting.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

On Anti-Nuclear Day, thousands of protesters marched through the streets of Tokyo peacefully, to demonstrate against the continuation of nuclear power as a source of energy in Japan.

The protest was very well organised by participants and police alike, with crowds chanting, waving banners and beating drums, as they marched towards the Diet Building.
