I've lived in many cities including New York and D.C., and I love Chicago. From the food to the people, Chicago is a wonderful, often overlooked U.S. city. From the moment I arrived in the city, I knew it was the place for me, and I'm so glad to live in such a diverse, gorgeous, and fun city. Sure we have our issues here, but so do many cities. In fact, I saw more brutality, racism, poverty, ignorance, hatred, and overall ugliness when I lived in Raleigh, North Carolina than I've ever witnessed in any city, let alone Chicago (Raleigh is a horrible place to live, FYI). Don't go on what you hear--come visit us in the Chi, and see our fair city for yourself.
