    Strengthening water access in Chaiyaphum

Drought conditions may worsen in many parts of Thailand. Almost a week ago, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation declared 18 provinces affected by the severe dry season.

Caretaker Prime Minister Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra is on an intervention mission to assist in water management and to protect agricultural crops and rice fields. She is in Chaiyaphum province for a meeting between provincial officers and her ministers in order to strengthen facilities for the population.
