    More from firehunter

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     firehunter attended one of the regular press conferences Malaysian Airlines has been holding over the past week in the Lido Hotel in Beijing. The press conferences are meant to update the family members of the victims on the missing flight MH370 with the latest developments. "About 500 very frustrated family members were in the conference," he said.

Fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin, firehunter says that the language barrier between Malaysian officials and Chinese family members has been an issue. "Since the Malaysians from the airline and the embassy cannot speak or understand Chinese, they relied on interpreters who are not very trained," he said. "Many of the key points were not communicated and it upset many inside the conference room."
    - Verybecoming, CNN iReport producer

I live close by the Lido Hotel where the press conference is held. I stopped by this morning to listen to the latest development. A few things I have noted: (1) the family are extremely frustrated after six days of endless wait (2) the interpreter has repeatedly made incorrect English-Chinese translation and thus added unnecessary confusion to the situation (3) Malaysian Ambassador is not very good at handling the crisis situation. He was pinned to call the Vice Prime Minister on the spot and at one point simply put the phone conversation over the intercom for others to hear. Bad practice as he has no idea what the other side would say. (4) Currently, the Malaysian Airline, Embassy have no clue what's going on but are forced to stay inside the conference room to face 500 very angry and frustrated family members.
