    Buildings Still Smoldering

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     GEORDIEDUPO was on a Metro North commuter train when he took these pictures of the explosion site in East Harlem this morning. He said that the site was still smoldering and that he could see the water from fire hoses. "I was surprised how strong the smell was in the train as we went by," he said. "There was definately smoke that got into our train, and several people yelled out exclamations."
    - Verybecoming, CNN iReport producer

As of 9:00 AM this morning, firefighters were still pouring water on the still-smoldering remains of the buildings in East Harlem. I took this photo from a Metro-North communer train on the elevated train platform at 116th Street and Park Avenue this morning, during my morning commute.  Strong-smelling smoke entered my train cabin as we passed by.
