The missing airliner. Too many frustrations. 1) Start using just science. Specifically, find out how much fuel was on board at take-off. Using that information, calculate how far the jet could have flown. Draw a circle on a map of the world whose radius is that length, miles, and place the center where the transponder ceased to function. Then identify that circle as the latest search zone. Re-start searching. 2) Could the missing jet have made it to Somalia? Al Qaeda controls some real estate there. 3) I think that the middle of the Indian Ocean is a probable place to find the airliner; or to find six rubber rafts with hungry unhappy people sitting on them. 4) Will the governments of the USA and the Russian Federation please volunteer their orbiting satellites AND their paid personnel to find the airliner? Good luck to the searchers and god bless us all. --UncleGene
