Iraq and the next president |
Do you want to lose?
"Why We Shouldn't Leave Iraq... Yet"
In 2003, the United States began combat missions in Iraq. Since then, it seems to be an uphill battle. For years we seemed to be the underdog in the war. Until the surge. Barack Obama not only voted against sending American troops in Iraq necessary equipment (proper helmets, artillery, etc) but also voted against sending an additional 20,000 troops to the area and begin to take back the war. It is now a fact that the surge has worked wonders. America is now winning the war! For Barack Obama and Joe Biden to pull out of Iraq would be for America to "wave the white flag of surrender". It would mean risking Iraqi's safety, America's safety, and our standing in the world. It would dishonor the brave men and women who have lost their lives, and their families. The vast majority of Americans in Iraq are going to cast their vote for John McCain. They aren't willing to leave yet. Why should anyone else?
Do you want to lose the war?
