This iReport is part of an assignment:
Fake Microsoft Help Website
I also somehow got on this fake Mirosoft website and stupidly gave them access to my computer. They said I was hacked, my email accounts, skype, everything was blocked from me, my passwords were no longer valid. They told me they would clean my computer and safeguard it for three years for 568.00. They went down gradually, in increments, until they finally got to a 78.00 figure for a quick fix. I replied no and ended their access. Next day I found out I had a particularly nasty virus . I had to reformat, change all my passwords and add a new account. It took me three days on-line with the real Microsoft help website due to problems with downloading the factory resets.
One good experience I had in this was I found the Microsoft wensite yo be amazing. The person who assisted me was polite, clear, concise and professional. They had to call me back a few times which they did, punctually. When they were finished there was a folow-up telephone call to make sure everything was good. I was very impressed when I considered the expense Microsoft assumes for this web-site. I was very impressed with everything about this experience with the real Microsoft "Help" site.
