    Summer Day , pagan holidays that unites all Albanians

    Summer Day is the largest pagan holidays in Albania . It has originated in Illyrian- Roman period when people were worshiping gods . Regarded as the feast of spring , greenery and renewal . It is celebrated every March 14 .
    The capital of this holiday is Elbasan . On March 14 in the city to celebrate citizens come from all regions of Albania and Kosovo , Macedonia , Montenegro and Chameria. But at present this holiday tourists from Italy , Greece , Turkey , Germany , America , Australia and even from China .
    On the occasion of the feast organized a variety of activities . Among them are mentioned carnivals , folk games , folk songs and dances , etc. holiday fair .
    Holiday has its ritual . Earlier collected products for enjoying the cuisine characteristic . At the door of the house placed green branches inserted to abundance . In a related hand summer . People gather to sing beautiful days of waiting . The next day distributing gifts in solidarity .
