    I have always enjoyed eating out and frequent many local restaurants and chains including Applebee’s, Longhorn, Olive Garden, Outback, TGIF, and UNO’s, but since I have stopped eating gluten, it has been difficult to find a restaurant that caters to patrons with food allergies.

    My husband and I decided to try a gluten free meal at UNO Pizzeria & Grill in Tilton, New Hampshire today. I am always a little skeptical because no restaurant can really guarantee 100% gluten free if they also serve wheat products, but UNO’s seems to take extra precautions against cross contamination. Our waiter was pleasant and well informed about gluten free meals. I immediately felt comfortable and ordered the Baked Stuffed Spinoccoli Chicken. My husband ordered a Gluten Free Tomato and Cheese Pizza and we planned to share. When our order was ready, I was surprised to see the manager deliver our meals personally. He wanted to be sure I felt confident receiving the gluten free meal and explained some of the precautions UNO’s takes to reassure its allergy sensitive customers.

    After our meal, I had the pleasure of introducing myself to Chuck Giacoumis, the general manager of the Tilton UNO Pizzeria & Grill, and thanked him for the service and the tasty gluten free lunch. I could tell by his humble demeanor that he enjoyed his work and took pride in his employees and the food quality. I really enjoyed my meal and we will definitely visit again.

    If you want to try a gluten free meal that doesn’t taste gluten free, visit any UNO Pizzeria & Grill and try the Baked Stuffed Spinoccoli Chicken. If you are visiting New Hampshire or live in the Lakes Region, have lunch or dinner at the Tanger Outlet Mall in Tilton, New Hampshire. When the manager personally brings your meal, tell Mr. Giacoumis Brenda sent you. Enjoy!
