    Abroad With Disabilities

My name is Juanita Lillie and I am a Spanish Language and Literature Student at Grand Valley State University. Being a person that is blind and an advocate for international education, I believe it is important to help other students with disabilities to fulfill their desire to go abroad. In order to urge for inclusion of students with disabilities in study abroad programs, I have been working with my Professor, Natalia Gómez, to create a Facebook page. I created Abroad with Disabilities on Facebook to give students with disabilities a platform to share their experiences that they had when they organized a trip abroad as well as for students thinking about going abroad to pose questions and find resources. Furthermore, I post statuses, questions, resources, and more weekly. Therefore, I invite all to visit our page Abroad with Disabilities to share and read comments that individuals have posted since the end of January 2014. Help us promote inclusion of students with disabilities within universities and study abroad offices across the nation.
