Bereaved Military Families Need A Voice
Congratulations to CNN for the courage to run the story "The Uncounted." The grief experienced by our military families has gone unnoticed far too long. However, there is another population of military families getting even less attention. These families are suffering from grief complicated by the lack of answers that should have been provided by a quality death investigation. Instead, when a family questions the validity of death investigative findings, especially as it pertains to suicides, they are routinely labeled as being "in denial." Military Families for Justice is an organization dedicated to providing resources to help guide families in their pursuit of answers. We also support a Bill of Rights for Bereaved Military Families and have a petition to members of Congress seeking a sponsor. The measures called for in the petition are not much different than the U.K.s Right to Inquest for surviving members of their military fallen. We respectfully ask that all American's read and get to know the plight of these families and then sign this petition asking their Congress person to sponsor the Bill.
