    Protesters occupy Taiwan legislature

Taiwanese students in London supports the 'Occupy Parliament' movement

A small but growing group of Taiwanese students in the UK are sitting in Trafalgar Square, London, to show solidarity with their counterparts who have been occupying the Taiwanese Parliament since the 17th of March.

Taiwanese students around the world are organising themselves through social media such as Facebook to stage impromptu sit-ins to show their support for the on-going protest in Taipei against the ruling party's forcefully passing of a trade agreement with mainland through the internal affairs committee.

Students have been sitting in Trafalgar square since 2pm amid dropping temperature and strong wind. They are taking photographs in front of banners that read 'Taiwan NOT FOR SALE' and 'Anti-black box agreement, power to the people' as way to show their discontent towards the current regime.

More are expected to join the group as night falls.
