    Malaysia Airlines Flight 370

    More from unclaimed

I am a former Captain for Air Asia, a Malaysian air carrier. The Malay defense/transportation minister who has been conducting the daily press briefings stated some 10 days ago that cockpit visits on Malaysian registered aircraft are strictly prohibited, as regulated by the local aviation regulatory body, the Department for Civil Aviation (DCA). This was clearly a lie - and he must have known this, unless of course he was merely displaying utter incompetence and misinformation, a phenomena that is rampant in Malaysian corporate and political leadership, based on my own experience. Please see attached a copy of a section of Air Asia's Operating Manual, section A (OMA), and judge for yourself. Do with this information as you wish, but I need to remain anonymous, firstly because I am actually not allowed to release internal company information and documents to third parties, and secondly because I am still employed in this region, albeit by another airline, and the consequences of being identified as someone who has released this document would be dire, such as losing my job and being deported. Thank you for your understanding. Please feel free to contact me with any questions via this email address. Sent from my iPhone
