Sanjeet "Sonny" Veen
Sanjeet “Sonny” Veen previously ran his own business. He is currently working as a manager for an accounting firm. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He is a man of many talents and travels. He enjoys traveling all over the world. His biggest influence in life is his wife because she is a dedicated, caring partner who has also been with him through thick and thin. He is most proud of his academic accomplishments in business, being able to travel the globe, and helping young adults improve their skills with resume writing and applying to jobs. His colleagues would describe him as easy going, social, helpful, open-minded, knowledgeable, and practical. He has an MBA in Finance from Wagner College of New York. He is planning on pursuing a PhD. in Psychology. He would like to continue helping people through becoming a counselor.
He is actively involved in counseling young adults from underprivileged backgrounds, providing help with resumes, guiding them on how to start a business with vast corporate experience, as well as how to prepare for the corporate world. In the last 2-5 years, teaching gave him more purpose and satisfaction in helping others.
His favorite memory is being able to help a young man who was initially giving up pursuing his bachelor’s degree. Sonny provided him with the motivation and discussed the valuable benefits to stay in college and graduate to receive his bachelor’s degree. As a successful counselor, Sanjeet “Sonny” Veen realized that he would be able to help more people with his gifts of understanding and wisdom that he is able to instill onto his mentees. With charity/volunteering, he enjoys helping misguided people through providing his knowledge on business and world travel to help others build confidence.
He enjoys teaching, travelling, cooking from all world travels, loves to write on spirituality and Buddhism, as well as enjoying religious studies, gardening, and music. He enjoys getting to help people. He is planning on pursuing advanced studies in Buddhism and would like to teach others more about its philosophy. Through becoming in touch with one’s spiritual side, an individual is able to renew one’s resolve and view the world in a calmer, more relaxed state of mind.
