First African-American to enlist in the United States Marine Corps

Hello, I'd like to begin this with an apology, I usually don't write the news stations but felt compelled to after witnessing something disturbing and shameful. You see, I read the news quite frequently and lately the news priority has been focused on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. While I find them to be intriguing characters to say the least, I find it shameful that not one national station covered the death of the first African-African Marine to enlist. This is kind of a big deal not for the fact that he was the first African-American Marine but of the amazing obstacles that James “Jim” Isaiah Rundles overcame. I am Marine Corps combat veteran and posted this on my Facebook getting over 300 responses and likes. I know that may not be much but I think that this story is worth picking up at least because it's part of our American history.
