    Negotiation Collapse, Conference Postponed to Tomorrow

    To resolve the CSSTA(Cross-Strait Service Trade Agreement) impasse, the minister of Legislative Yuan has assembled conference with whips of every political parties. However, with KMT insisting on discussing the subject(CSSTA) in Legislative Yuan Conference, DDP in the other hand, proposing to have the subject returned to the committee, the two parties did not reach an agreement, leading the first negotiation to a collapse, and thus postponed the conference to tomorrow afternoon.

    It is told that KMT proposed that if CSSTA could be discussed, voted in Legislative Yuan, KMT will not only include DDP’s oppinion with additional resolution, they will also agree to propose resolution. Hong-Chi Lin, KMT Policy Conference Executive, approved that President Ma assigned only to discuss and to vote article by article, instead of insisting on holding the conference in Legislative Yuan or committee, and that this part is only to KMT party’s collective decision.

    Also, during the conference in the afternoon, both DDP and TSU(Taiwn Solidarity Union) asked that executive department should not bear down on Jin-Ping Wang, Minister of Legislative Yuan, to compel eviction on students by police force before an agreement is reached by all political parties. However, the proposal has not been endorsed by KMT, not even the request of turning on the air conditioner by oppositional parties.
