    Wintry weather 2014

    More from BrendaOlson

Winter weather continues to plague the northeast causing many New England residents to suffer with cabin fever. I personally cannot wait to get outside and work in my garden, but unfortunately another winter snowstorm is expected tonight.

In previous iReports, I’ve posted pictures of the four feet of snow covering my back porch and the seven feet of drifted snow completely covering my side windows. Fortunately, the snow has moderated enough to finally allow me to open my bay window for fresh air. After forcing the frozen window open, I was surprised to see the unique sparkling frost on my windowpanes. The frost was so enticing I had to grab my camera for a close-up of the frozen forest.

Maybe Mother Nature is prolonging winter for a reason. We need to slow down to see the beauty of winter before we can appreciate the warmth of spring.
