    Your 'Aha' weight-loss moments

    100lbs down and still going.

In October of 2011 I was 36 years old, diagnosed with type two diabetes, I already had high blood pressure, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Sleep Apnea. At that time I weighed 420 lbs fully clothed. I thought I was happy.

In March of that next year in a desire to get my blood sugar under control I started walking. Quarter mile, half, full. Soon I joined a fitness club and started working out. My diet had changed but I was living with family after separating from my wife. It was still not the greatest, but I was watching my carbs and loosing.

In April of 2013 I moved out of my family’s home. At this point my diet really changed. It was simple, a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables, lean protein and very low carb. I continued to exercise and at one point I had a very steady weekly loss of two to three lbs.

There has been a lot happen in the last couple of years. I have teetered a little, and I’m not done yet. Today I am 100lbs lighter than I was in October of 2011. I have been off of all medications for over a year and my core body has never been healthier.
