    Turpentine Varnish Caching Extension to Get Update for Magento Declared by Nexcess

     

    One of the biggest industry leaders in optimized  Magento Hosting and a  Magento Platinum Hosting Partners ‘Nexcess’ has  declared the release of a  major update to the Turpentine Magento  extension that enhances  integration between Magento as well as the  Varnish caching reverse  proxy.

     

    When it comes to talk about Turpentine, it is an open  source Magento  extension that developed for using on Nexcess’s optimized  Magento  hosting platform to improve the performance of e-commerce  stores by  changing Magento’s behavior to improve compatibility with  Varnish,  boosting the usefulness of Varnish caching for the e-commerce  platform.

     

    However, the version 0.6.0 makes Turpentine compatible  with the  freshest versions of Magento including Magento Community  Edition 1.8  and Magento Enterprise Edition 1.13. Moreover, the most  recent update  also comprises lots of feature improvements like  lurker-friendly bans,  Magento Composer Installer support, fixes for  issues affecting ESI cache flushing and many more.
