    Rare Northern Lights in Telemark

Early this morning people in the upper region of Telemark had the opportunity to observe the northern lights with a rare and unusual color. I could not observe any significant number of 'curtains' or other moving elements in general, however, there was a beautiful variations in the colors. The Aurora was mainly red and yellowish and sometimes a little violet. A great sight in the one and a half hours I observed it. This Time-Lapse consists of 480 still images taken between the hours of 0:49 to 2:17 GMT
