Several civic groups, including Black Island Young Adults and Guardians of Taiwan Democracy, joined the effort to start an in depth conversation on Taiwan's Democracy on Taipei streets in the morning of March 26. They named this series of talks "Democracy in Review on Streets". This is a sequel to the "Open Space" seminar offered by NTU's Sociology Professor Dr. Fan on the previous day. There were over 18 small groups formed and around 200 participants to join in the discussion. The hosting groups believe that a more transparent review process in legislation will empower the right of the public to enable a more proactive role played by the citizens in their dealing with political issues under a dysfunctional legislative mechanism in current Taiwan.
