Man Arrested in WalMart Parking Lot
Shawnee, OK—A man found inside his vehicle at Wal-Mart parking lot was arrested after Shawnee Police discovered he was in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and in possession of a firearm after a felony conviction.
March 25, at 6:20 AM, Officer Richard Ruiz and Sgt. Freeland Wood responded to a noise complaint regarding a man in a Ford truck who was “revving the engine.” Officer Richard Ruiz observed a gun in the passenger seat next to the driver, identified as Cory Ryan Attardi, the report states.
Ruiz reported that Attardi had slurred speech, dilated pupils, and was “unable to sit still.” Dispatch reported a felony conviction for Attardi. Ruiz arrested the suspect for firearms possession after a felony and escorted him to the Pottawatomie County Safety Center, the report shows.
At the PCSC,while being patted down, intake found two pills classified as schedule 3: Alprazolam and Lorazepam. Attardi was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a firearm after a felony.
