UD sweet 16 win not so sweet to City Police in full riot gear

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Photographer Daylan Stubblefield got the photo of his career as Dayton police dressed in riot gear lined the University of Dayton campus after the Flyers’ win over Stanford last night in their NCAA Sweet 16 matchup. “Think of it like being in a club that was completely packed with people; that’s how many people were there,” he said of the throngs of students and Dayton fans celebrating in the street. “I forced my way to the middle and once I did, I came to an opening and there was a line of riot police. As soon as I saw them, I started shooting [photos].”

“It’s a shot that I’ve yearned to get in many situations as long as I’ve shot photos. It’s one of those shots that most photographers want when it comes down to conflict.”
