The ice on lake champlain
The Great Lake Champlain froze over this winter, enough for me to walk from one side to the other. I have only made it about a mile and a half out. When people walk on the snow over the ice and leave footprints. Compacted snow that makes these ice blocks once the snow has blown away or melted. Once a day for the past month I have had the amazing experience of walking on lake champlain and i get to see this and many other ice formations. My favorite time to be out there is an hour before sunset when the sky burns with colors that you can only see in the northeast kingdom.
