This iReport is part of an assignment:
    In praise of “other mothers”

    More from tashi69

    My mum.

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Tashi69 proudly says: "My favorite memory of my aunt is when she dressed me up for my first dance concert. First she gave me a bath and started to make my hair and do my makeup. The greatest lesson she taught me is to never lie. Even when you are wrong, just tell the truth."

My maternal aunt Kezang Tshomo was basically my other mother. When my parent's sperated, i spent 5 years with her. During this remarkable period of my life, she supported me. I did well in school and also excelled academically in all fields. My other mother made her self available for me. She beleived in me. Today as i look back, i thank her and one day hopefully would be able to return the favor back.
