Lee-Lee Williams: A Man Of Many Talents
Lee-Lee Williams is an actor in his own right. Just shy of a year from getting started in film, he has made a name for himself. The talent and range of his acting ability, is pretty incredible. I first met Lee-Lee, through Facebook. With me being a writer and him an actor, we clicked. Talking about our successes and struggles in the business, we were determined to keep the positivity flowing.
Starting out in music first, Lee-Lee traveled nationally with his father, who was a quartet singer. Lee-Lee got into inspirational rap, also known as Christian Rap where he performed at different venues. Once he decided to act full time, Mr. Williams looked up to Dennis White (who is best known for his role in the film Notorious), Orlando Jones (who plays in Sleepy Hollow), and more. He watched their craft and truly studied the art of acting.
Thus far, Mr. Williams has been in ten different productions. Currently, he’s a photo/body double for Orlando Jones an actor in Sleepy Hollow. In addition to Sleepy Hollow, Williams, is also doing auditions and has some speaking roles on a few projects that are coming up soon, but right now isn’t at liberty to say. Don’t you just hate that? I wanted the scoop, but I will wait. He’s also in a film titled, NC Sixty, with Sundance Film Festival and award-winner, Erica Dunton that will coming out soon as well.
Lee-Lee Williams is also one of the founders along with J.D. Irwin and Lindsay Pach, of the Meshed Minds Network. This network is for creative people of all types writers, actors, directors, producers, who are driven and motivated who want to help others grow in the entertainment industry. “ It’s about people who come together and want to be apart of the industry and be successful,” Williams says. The Meshed Minds Network does workshops, works in the community and more. They love to brand and motivate each other in the business. “ Meshed Minds, we all can’t afford PR or a Publicist at the moment, so we all network and do what we can for each other,” William says. The network is based out of North Carolina, but it ranges because a lot of the members are across the US even in Australia. I must say that I was impressed with all that Meshed Minds has to offer people in the business.
Lee-Lee studies a lot of the old time films such as Coming To America, DJango Unchained and more. Williams stated that he is a die hard biker fan. He also studies scripts and works hard getting ready for his next debut. Currently, Lee-Lee is singing on a new project with his father’s group, “Bishop Perry Williams and The New Travelaires", which is produced by Ray Braswell. Also he's in a theatre play, titled, " Ceremonies of Dark Old Men." I look forward to seeing more of Lee-Lee Williams on screen and with his music endeavors.
