Ohio study details trending college degrees

A study conducted with the Ohio Board of Regents shows a good look into what college degrees are growing the fastest. Many of these degree programs were not even available 10 or 15 years ago, and they show the changing career landscape in the United States.

Among the fastest growing graduate program areas are health sciences. There has been a growth of jobs in areas such as nursing, physical therapy and health education. Master of Science degrees are proving to be extremely valuable in today’s health career field. Online universities such as Trident are offering many different programs and degrees for Health Sciences http://www.trident.edu/college-of-health-sciences.

In addition to health sciences, another area where there has been significant growth is information technology. Dozens of new degrees in business administration and technology are being offered. Universities such as Trident even offer concentrations in specialized fields, such as logistics and information technology management http://www.trident.edu/colleges/business-administration/master-in-business-administration.

As a response to continued expansion of alternative energy, there has also been a push for graduate level programs that focus on energy sustainability. Specialized degrees that focus on various aspects of the energy industry such as petroleum pipeline technology are growing in popularity.
