The Strahov Monastery was founded in 1149 in Prague, which is located in present day Czech Republic. There are two main halls in the monastery, the Theological and Philosophical. Both contain libraries. The theological library was completed in 1679, and holds many famous works, including that of the philosopher and theologian Jeronym Hirnheim. It is visually stunning and in great condition, largely due to the renovations that it went through after the Velvet Revolution that occurred in 1989. It was fully repaired by 1994, and is a tourist destination for visitors of Prague today.
