    I met a President

    Elections in Afghanistan

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     KWAZIRI photographed Afghan presidential candidates at an event on April 4 in Kabul, Afghanistan. April 5 was Afghanistan’s presidential election. He says there was a massive turnout. ‘I saw hundreds of Afghans only in my street standing in front of the election office,’ he said. 'In the morning of the election day I was in Kabul and the people were celebrating that they can vote for a new president. Everyone was so happy and there were many women who participated in this election as well.'
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

Today Afghans have elected their new president.
Thousand of Afghans were waiting many hours in front of the election offices. Everything was peaceful today. I went to the biggest stadium In Kabul in the last few weeks, because the two favourites of this election Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai and Abdullah Abdullah were campaigning there.
