    Different Types Of Cars

There are lots of tips when choosing the best car that will suit your needs. One of these important things to consider is to know which type of car to invest in. To help you out, here are the different types of cars:

Small cars - These types of car tend to have lower running costs and lower carbon dioxide emissions as opposed to larger vehicles. Those with 2-3 doors usually have wider doors with larger opening angles in order to make access a lot easier. However, you have to understand that closing the door as well as fitting in narrow parking spaces might be more difficult. On the other hand, 4-5 door car greatly benefit from back seat passenger doors which can be very useful when you usually have more than one passenger in the car.

Medium cars - As opposed to small cars, these cars have a slightly bigger boot. The 2-3 door model usually have a wider door opening angle. Also, the seatbelts will be set further back. Those with 4-5 doors have their own doors to exit.

Family cars - These cars have large 4-door saloons or perhaps 5-door hatchbacks and are significantly larger than medium sized automobiles. Know that a hatchback car has a raise-open door at the back where the boot is combined with a rear window - this will mean additional storage spaces. On the contrary, saloons have a more traditional boot that will open independently of the rear window.

Estate cars - These are the longer versions of a standard hatchback having useful spaces for mobility aids within the boot. When you are considering this type of car but you have not driven one before, it is very crucial to take test drives.

Sport utility vehicles - This is otherwise known as SUV which is the US term for a 4x4 automobile with off-road styling. These types of car have 4-wheel drive. These days, people usually opt for this car because of their excellent design rather than off-road use. And because of this, manufacturers are now offering vehicles with 4x4 design but with only 2-wheel drive.

Wheelchair accessible vehicles - These cars are meant for those who want to drive from a wheelchair. They usually offer a great solution when you have trouble getting in and out of the car from your wheelchair and would want to remain in it if travelling as a passenger.

Multipurpose vehicles - These cars can accommodate up to 9 people. The seats are usually higher with more legroom, width and headroom. In fact, some have sliding side doors.
